Idol group 2pm’s member Taecyeon is on his tip-toes being an actor celebrity.Taecyeon was recently on KBS 2TV’s Wed-Thurs drama ‘Cinderella’s Sister’ (script by Kim Gyu Wan, production by Kim Young Jo and Kim Won Seok) for his first time as an actor.
It is true that his acting held some concerns. This is normal because most idol stars question whether taking the risk will be worth it. But, it was an overall success.
He was able to turn Ok Taecyeon into an actor’s name, and surprisingly showed off his acting skills through the critics’ opinions of ‘Cinderella’s Sister’.
He surpassed the expectations through the character he played, ‘Jungwoo’, and received the nickname ‘universal-idol’ from the viewers.
Ok Taecyeon, the just-debuted actor who overwhelmed the audience, is on the other hand currently receiving casting calls from Chungmuro and TV home theater, but the acting role standings are at 0.
A representative from Ok Taecyeon’s agency, JYP Entertainment, said, “After Ok Taecyeon finished filming for ‘Cinderella’s Sister’, he has been getting many love calls”.
The same representative said, “Actually, he has also been offered to be in a movie with some of the top actors. There were love calls before his acting debut, but he has never been the main character before. But we were able to immediately catch a lead role”.
He added, “From July to August 2PM plans to be hold their concerts. We are deciding what scenarios to chose for the future from the offers we have received.”
